In Humanity's Footsteps

An Answer to Hate

In Humanity’s Footsteps is a Holocaust education program for high school juniors and seniors focusing on diversity, prejudice, hatred, racism and genocide. Our Spring 2024 trip to Poland is open only to selected participants from Miami- Dade and Palm Beach County schools.

The program is called In Humanity’s Footsteps because we literally will walk in the footsteps of the victims. The program participants will visit sites of the Holocaust in Poland. While our focus will primarily be on the victims, the acquiescence of the bystanders and the inhumanity of the perpetrators are never far away. You will be disturbed by unparalleled cruelty and choiceless choices, and inspired by stories of compassion, heroism and survival. You will gain a deeper insight and understanding which will expose myths and reveal truth.

“In Humanity’s Footsteps” is a Holocaust education program. Our 2019 Pilot Program is a five- day trip scheduled for Thanksgiving vacation 2019, open to students who will be high school juniors and seniors in the 2019- 2020 school year.

Following three mandatory, pre-trip educational sessions, the participants will visit sites of the Holocaust in Poland… including the death camps of Auschwitz- Birkenau and Majdanek… and will learn the truths of the greatest crime of the Twentieth century.

We will deliver an experience that transmits the realities and lessons of the Holocaust to the program participants. We will provide an opportunity to confront the issues of the subject in some of the locations where they occurred and to meet some of the people who were a part of the event.

Joining us on our journey will be Judge Marilyn Milian of “The People’s Court” and NBA Hall of Famer Ray Allen. Both will bring their unique perspectives to the program.

This program is produced in association with The International March of the Living, our Poland service providers. They are the most experienced organization for Poland-based Holocaust teen education in the world, having taken over 250,000 students on such trips over the past 30 years.
